All for International Women's Day
On the 8th of March we come together for International Women's Day, a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women around the world. This year the theme is “For ALL women and girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.”
To mark the occasion our BFBS Cinema in Blandford will have a special FREE showing of the movie Lee. The film tells the story of photographer Elizabeth `Lee' Miller, a fashion model who became an acclaimed war correspondent for Vogue magazine during World War II.
Panel Date & Time: Wednesday 5th March 1310 - 1520
Location: The Forum Cinema
There will be various female speakers, from Corps SSM, future Corps YofS, to external speakers in the sporting world to Catherine Dixon (CEO of Stonewall). There will also be support from Col Rebecca Jacques-Grey, Brig Caroline Woodbridge-Lewin & Col Nicola George.
The event will showcase Women within our Corps past and present and their success within their careers, what inspired them to achieve this and any role models they have had throughout their time!

She plays Audrey Withers in the film who was an editor who published many of Lee’s pictures.
