Victoria started her career as a reporter on the Staines Informer (yes, really), where she was thrown in the deep end by interviewing the Defence Secretary on her first day at work.
After being trained in the joys of sub-editing and shorthand, she moved into radio, where she never had to use those skills again. Her new life in broadcasting led her to ITN radio where she worked her way through most of the jobs on the roster until they really had no choice but to make her news editor.
Curious to discover the hidden meaning behind words such as "OOV" and "ASTON", Victoria went freelance and joined GMTV as a reporter and producer. It was there Victoria delivered a piece to camera while, unknown to her, a man removed his trousers in the background.
A couple of children then came along (in no way connected with the aforementioned man) and Victoria could be heard at Classic FM, LBC and BFBS Radio. Victoria's first story for BFBS TV saw her fighting for camera space with an award-winning Labrador. Other career highlights include meeting several Royals, the Prime Minister, Colin Firth and the Strictly Come Dancing team.
Victoria has been deeply inspired and very humbled by the many serving personnel and veterans she has met, as well as their courageous families.
