Annual Regimental Day for 5 Rifles in Paderborn

5 Rifles have held their annual regimental day in Paderborn. Salamanca Day is normally held in July to commemorate the Anglo Portuguese Army’s victory at Salamanca in Spain in 1812.

This year, the day had to be postponed because of training.

However, it was a last chance for a family get-together, ahead of 5 Rifles’ deployment to Afghanistan over the next fortnight.
